what i've been up to...

inspiration: a quick blog...

so i have written a whole TWO blogs this month.
pretty sad for someone who loves blogging...

but lately, i've been staying busy and i'm just praying for God to continue to use me in unimaginable way.

in the past month, i've...

  • registered for another half marathon (in Myrtle Beach in October)
  • stayed busy with work
  • i took the first exam to become a Microsoft Certified Professional Developer - unfortunately, i didn't pass, which was frustrating and disappointing, but i now know what to study and what to expect, so hopefully the next attempt will go more smoothly!
  • took a nice "staycation" from work.
  • i spent a week just relaxing, getting stuff done that i haven't had time to do, spent a lot of time with Holden :)
not going to lie, lately, i've been slacking in a lot of areas in my spiritual life.
the past few days, i've really been praying for a spiritual awakening in my life, for wisdom and to regain the cravings for Christ that i desire. but i also realize that once i start making time for Jesus, i will crave him more naturally.

it's just like running for me.
i do it for a while and then start to tire because i've lost the passion for it.
but once i go a little while without it, i begin to want to run again.
and it's hard at first, but once i get in the habit of running and working out, i begin to crave it even more.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. -Jeremiah 29:13
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. -Matthew 7:7
i want to seek and find Him.
i want to be made full in Him.

i volunteered tonight to help put together a reading plan for theWell.
this will give me a great opportunity to not only encourage others via Scriptures and devotionals, but will give me a great opportunity to grow deeper in my relationship with Christ. i'm excited about being part of a team who has a passion for helping others grow in Christ :) hoping that God will use us all to draw others closer to Him.

so what have you been up to?
