sittin' waitin' wishin'

inspiration: writer's block.

i've had the worst case of writer's block lately, at least when it comes to Faith Overflow.

i seem to have an abundance of content for Crazy Asian of Charleston and i'm even a couple articles ahead for my Examiner page, but i feel like i've become quite stagnant here.

but somehow, i feel like this will change.
we have periods of bearing fruit. we have periods of abiding and waiting.

this is my period of waiting.

"I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."
(Psalm 27:13-14)

it's in moments of waiting that we learn what our faith is made of.
between malachi and matthew, there was 400 years of waiting.
for 400 years, people waited for the promised Messiah to be born.
i can't imagine!

i haven't written in almost 3 days.
i've been waiting for God to place something on my heart to write about.
i can't imagine waiting for 400 years for God to speak.

but when it seems like we're not going anywhere.
even when it seems like God isn't speaking to us.
what we can take away from all is this: God comes through. Always!

what are you waiting for?
